VBS 2009!
Warning!
LOTS OF PICTURES!!
LOTS OF PICTURES!!

VBS at our church was held the week of June 8-12.
The theme was Crocodile Dock.
We decorated the social hall to resemble a swamp.
This was accomplished by covering the walls with bulletin board paper. Blue for the sky and green for the grass. Then we added "trees" and "grass". One of our members was so kind enough to build us a shack!!
Here are some of our "fearless" workers transforming the social hall into a swamp!
Making the sky and the grass!!
We covered every square inch of the room!
We hung black paper with Christmas lights poking through to resemble fireflies!!
One of the walls.
Our adorable shack!!
During one of the group singing sessions!
Teaching the songs and story time.
Another view of the stage (shack)!
Back view
Close up of the water!

You would've never guessed, but these cute little frogs used to just be plain knee pads.
I found them at Wal-Mart and thought they would be precious!!
One of our "crew" members took them and made them come to life and glued them to lily pads!
Aren't they just the cutest!!
View of the stage all decorated!
We had prepared for only about 25-30 children, but were blessed with around 50!
We couldn't believe that we had so many children!!
It was such a blessing!!
This little fellow is Chadder Chipmunk!
I was in charge of the Bayou Theater!
Chadder goes on an adventure each year and this year it was to ... none other than
THE BAYOU!!
Chadder was in search of the "Monster Crock"!
He had the help of Fraider, the biggest scaredy cat ever!!
As it turns out, the "monster crock" was the shelter owner who was trying to drum up business!!
It was so cute. But after watching it 4 times a day for 5 days, it got old!
Anyway.... the children had a blast !!
